DOES THE WINSTON-SALEM REGIONAL OFFICE SCHEDULE HEARINGS AND THEN REFUSE TO ADDRESS ALL PENDING ISSUES OR CLAIMS?
Over the years that I have attended my veteran's hearings at the Winston-Salem Regional Office, I noticed that generally the Regional Office refuses to give notice of the actual issues of any hearing. On occasion, the veteran has ten claims pending and the RO only allows a hearing on one claim with no explanation. Any explanation usually is given at the hearing and not before.
Complaints to the VA Inspector General or Congressional Repesntatives and Senators are of no help because VA employees will distort the information given to the Inspector General or politicians.
When this veteran communicated with North Carolina's Senator Kay Hagan as to why his claim was not being processed, a Regional Office employee reported to Senator Hagan's office that "... our system does not indicate if the veteran attended the hearing ..." when the veteran was at the hearing with counsel before a VA Decision Review Officer (DRO). This RO employee, Charles L. Teague, has not corrected his fraudulent statement to Senator Hagan. See email below.
